Kid City

Years ago, The Georgetown Project and The Caring Place set out together on a mission to help make summers happier, healthier, and more educational for Kindergarten through 5th Grade students in Georgetown.  Kid City is the result.

Kid City is a summer food enrichment program targeting 60 children     (K-5th Grade) eligible for the GISD free and reduced lunch program. Goals are to improve the health and nutrition of children; increase protective assets among children through positive adult relationships; and provide summer enrichment opportunities for children whose parents may not be able to afford camps and vacation experiences.  Kid City is a partnership of The Georgetown Project, Georgetown ISD,  City of Georgetown Parks and Recreation Department, and local volunteers.

Dates for Kid City this year are July 12 - August 6.
